My background
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area...
I was super lucky to grow up immersed in the latest tech and surrounded by ambitious people changing the world. So besides wanting to be a surgeon, photographer, or writer, I wanted to be an inventor just like them. Except I struggled with math and instead found myself naturally gifted with music, design, and storytelling. By the time I was 12, I’d abandoned my inventor dreams and dove head first into creative writing. At 14, I published my first book, a YA sci-fi novel, and it was the satisfaction and pure joy of that process that motivated me to continue down a creative path. I pursued an English major and Business minor at LMU, Los Angeles. I focused on writing and design, taking advanced literature, film and digital photography classes, even landing one of my photos in the university gallery.
Yet, despite my creative fulfillment, I felt the tech world calling me back - towards the intersection of creativity and problem solving. So that's where I went: wearing all the hats at a startup in marketing, research, graphic design, biz-dev, program management, and customer success until being promoted to Product Management after just 1.5 years.
Now with 5+ years of experience, I can easily say this is where I was meant to be this whole time. Product Management perfectly blends building, designing, storytelling, and strategizing to launch new products. Everyday I get to tell stories, brainstorm with talented minds, coax the best work out of people, and create beautiful solutions alongside passionate teams that end up changing the world in one way or another. This is how I became the inventor I had always wanted to be, and I'm thrilled about what lies ahead in this career!
